Melissa Tierney - Director
Melissa has over 13 years of music and singing experience, both practical and theory. The qualifications Melissa has completed in music are Early Childhood Music Education Certificate III, Grade II Theory Musicianship and Music 1 Higher School Certificate. Melissa has been performing since a young age. She was a part of the Shellharbour Roo Theater Drama Group when she was younger; has performed in Rocko, Wakakakri; both locally and state, was involved in the productions of Annie & Godspell and was a finalist in ‘Search for a Popstar Australia’. Melissa performs quite frequently at charity events and concerts. She is a performer at heart but has really adapted to the lifestyle of teaching others. She has loved every minute of working with the music makers. Melissa works for The Disability Trust as well as completing a Bachelor of Social Work through Charles Sturt University but nothing stops her from volunteering again to direct The Creative Performance Evening each year. She is very proud of all that has been achieved by her beautiful and talented music makers. |
Nicole Farrugia - Choreographer
Nicole has been dancing since the age of three, and completed her teaching qualifications at age 18 with High Distinctions. This has been the most satisfying project Nicole has ever undertaken. When Melissa asked her to come on board for the choreography, she couldn't wait to get started. She can’t believe that that was over 4 years ago now. Nicole says this year, the weeks have gone by so quickly and she is so proud of what the performers have achieved. It has been an absolute joy working with Melissa, the performers, helpers and crew, again this year. We have had so much fun together in our preparations for this years performances. It still amazes me every year how much we can accomplish. |
